Foundation and Practitioner PRINCE2 7 Qualifications in Ballymena

Project management is a skill that opens doors. Whether you’re working in the public sector, engineering, construction, IT or finance, holding a PRINCE2 certification tells employers you understand how to deliver projects properly. For professionals based in Ballymena, Elite Training makes that qualification straightforward to achieve.

We’ve been training people across Northern Ireland for over 30 years, and our PRINCE2 courses are delivered by accredited project managers who know the methodology inside out. Every course includes exam fees and official materials, with no unexpected costs along the way.

Which Course Is Right for You?

The right starting point depends on where you are in your project management journey.

PRINCE2 Foundation (3 days | £995 + VAT)

The PRINCE2 Foundation course runs over three days and covers everything you need to sit the Foundation exam. You’ll work through the full methodology, including its core principles, the seven practices and the processes that guide a project from start to finish. It’s thorough, practical and designed to give you genuine confidence going into the exam room.

Our Foundation pass rate is currently 100% year to date, which is a reflection of the quality of tuition and the hands-on approach our trainers bring to every session. The certification is valid for three years, after which you can renew by retaking the exam, progressing to Practitioner level or maintaining CPD through PeopleCert.

PRINCE2 Practitioner (2 days | £1,020 + VAT)

The Practitioner course is for those who already hold a Foundation certificate and want to take their knowledge further. Over two days, the focus shifts from understanding the methodology to applying it in real workplace situations. You’ll learn how to adapt and tailor the PRINCE2 framework to suit different project contexts, preparing you thoroughly for the Practitioner exam.

To attend, you’ll need a qualifying certification. Accepted qualifications include PRINCE2 Foundation (2009 or higher), PMP, CAPM or an IPMA qualification at any level. Our Practitioner pass rate sits between 85% and 90%, comfortably above the national average of 77%. As with Foundation, the certification lasts three years and can be renewed by retaking the exam, pursuing another PeopleCert accreditation or subscribing to PeopleCert’s annual CPD programme.

PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner Combined (5 days | £1,995 + VAT)

For delegates who want both certifications without a lengthy gap between them, the combined course is the most efficient route. Foundation is covered across the first three days, followed by two Practitioner days the following week. Both exams are included in the course fee and are sat at the end of their respective modules.

This is our most popular PRINCE2 option and works particularly well for professionals who want to complete their training in one structured block. If you do choose to take the two levels separately rather than as a combined course, we’d recommend sitting the Practitioner training within six months of completing Foundation.

Attending from Ballymena

Our public PRINCE2 courses are held in Belfast, which is under an hour from Ballymena by road. Courses run from 9am to 5pm each day. If you’d prefer training closer to home, we can arrange a closed course for your team at your own premises. Group discounts are available for five or more delegates booking onto the same dates, which can make a private course a cost-effective choice for organisations with several staff to train.

We’re an Authorised Training Organisation for PeopleCert, so every certification earned through Elite Training carries full official recognition.

* The above courses all take place from 09:00-17:00.

“Kathleen thanks very much for all your help, support and guidance this past week. Delivering training virtually is often hard to keep attention and deliver a message, but you managed to make it very engaging and informative.”

“I would like to thank Margaret Short (Course Tutor, Elite Training, Belfast) for her time, effort and commitment to getting my colleagues and me through the PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner course materials and exams. I have been involved in training and development for the last 20 years and believe these courses, in terms of structure, contents and delivery, are of a very high standard and I would encourage people that are involved in project management, regardless of the size, scale or scope, to take the course.”
