ILM is an internationally recognised management-awarding body whose qualifications align with the UK’s Qualifications & Credit Framework (QCF) and are accredited by the Office of Qualifications & Examinations Regulation (OfQual)

Levels of Certification

ILM qualifications range from Level 2 to 7. Elite Training delivers Levels 2, 3 & 5

Accreditation Format

Choose from a list of modules to make up the necessary accreditation (i.e. Level 2, 3 or 5). Once complete, delegates are awarded a Unit Certification for the Level obtained

Extra modules allow delegates to gain more Credit Values (CVs). Once additional modules are complete, delegates obtain a Full Award, Certificate or Diploma, for that level

So, in each level, delegates can achieve:

  • Unit accreditation
  • Award accreditation
  • Certification Accreditation
  • Diploma Accreditation (NB: Diploma Level is not offered by Elite Training)

Duration: 4 days (non-consecutive)

Programme Content

Delegates must obtain a minimum of 4 credits (2-3 modules) to obtain a Level 3 Award. The course prepares delegates for all necessary assignments (see module options below)

Leading & Motivating Teams | 2 Days • 2 Credits

Roles & responsibilities of managers; adaptable management styles; practical motivation methods (SMART objectives, essential communication skills).

Problem Solving & Decision Making | 2 Days • 2 Credits

Types of problems in the workplace (inefficiency, ineffectiveness & deviation); dissecting a problem (incl. root cause analysis); outcomes, costs, change management implications; assessment (scoring matrices, business case development).

Managing Stress & Conflict | 1 Day • 1 Credit

Causes and effects of stress & conflict; strategies & approaches to end conflict; the manager’s role; skills practice.

Performance Management | 2 Days • 2 Credits

Setting performance standards & expectations; monitoring performance; appropriate feedback (formal and informal); workplace investigations; statutory disciplinary & grievance procedures; chairing hearings; coaching skills.

Business Improvement Techniques | 2 Days • 2 Credits

Lean processing (incl. identifying waste in operational processes using 5 S’s); KanBan Method; Statistical Process Control.

Managing Workplace Projects | 2 Days • 2 Credits

How to scope, plan and manage a project; monitoring and reporting progress.

Quality Management in the Workplace | 2 Days • 2 Credits

Quality standards (incl. Standard Operating Procedures); Quality Control procedures (incl. Maintenance of documentation); Quality Assurance mechanisms.

Yes. ILM Level 3 includes written assignments for each module, giving you the chance to apply learning directly to your workplace context. Support is provided throughout to help you complete these successfully.
