Foundation and Practitioner PRINCE2 7 Qualifications in Armagh

Project management without a recognised framework is a bit like navigating without a map. You might get there eventually, but the route is less predictable and the risks are harder to manage. PRINCE2 provides that framework, and for professionals in Armagh looking to formalise their project management skills, it remains the most widely respected qualification available.

What makes PRINCE2 particularly valuable is its flexibility. The methodology scales to suit projects of almost any size or complexity, which is why it’s embedded across sectors as varied as construction, healthcare, IT and central government. Holding a PRINCE2 qualification in Armagh signals to employers that you can manage projects in a controlled, structured and accountable way, and that capability travels across industries.

Elite Training delivers PRINCE2 courses across Northern Ireland as an Authorised Training Organisation for PeopleCert. With over 30 years of experience and pass rates that consistently outperform national averages, we’re a training provider that takes results seriously.

PRINCE2 Courses Offered

PRINCE2 Foundation (3 days | £995 + VAT)

Foundation is where PRINCE2 certification begins. The three-day course takes delegates through the full methodology in structured detail, covering the principles that define how PRINCE2 operates, the practices that guide project decisions and the processes that govern each stage of a project’s life. The Foundation exam covers all of these areas, and the course is built to make sure you’re ready for it.

Our Foundation pass rate currently stands at 100% year to date. Foundation certification lasts three years and can be renewed through a number of routes, including progressing to Practitioner or maintaining CPD with PeopleCert.

PRINCE2 Practitioner (2 days | £1,020 + VAT)

Practitioner builds directly on Foundation, taking delegates from knowledge to application. The two-day course develops the ability to tailor and adapt the PRINCE2 framework within genuine project environments. That’s what the Practitioner exam tests, and it’s the level that most employers in project-intensive sectors regard as the meaningful benchmark.

To attend, you’ll need a qualifying certification such as PRINCE2 Foundation (2009 or higher), PMP, CAPM or an IPMA qualification. Our Practitioner pass rate sits between 85% and 90%, comfortably ahead of the national average of 77%. Certification is valid for three years with the same renewal options as Foundation.

PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner Combined (5 days | £1,995 + VAT)

Completing both levels through the combined programme is the approach most delegates choose. Foundation covers the first three days, Practitioner follows the week after and both exams are included in the course fee. It’s a clean, contained way to achieve full PRINCE2 certification without a drawn-out gap between levels.

Should you prefer to take Foundation and Practitioner separately, completing Practitioner within six months of Foundation is strongly advisable to keep the knowledge fresh and the transition manageable.

Attending from Armagh

Our public PRINCE2 courses are delivered in person in Belfast. Armagh is well connected by road, with Belfast reachable in under an hour for most delegates. Courses run from 9am to 5pm on each training day.

Organisations in Armagh with multiple staff to put through PRINCE2 training may find a closed course at their own premises the more practical route. We can deliver training on-site across Northern Ireland, and group discounts apply for five or more delegates booking onto the same public course dates. Exam fees and course materials are included in every quoted price.

* The above courses all take place from 09:00-17:00.

FAQs – PRINCE2 in Armagh

Can the training be delivered in Armagh rather than Belfast?

Yes. We regularly arrange closed courses at client premises across Northern Ireland. If you have a team in Newry who need PRINCE2 training, get in touch and we’ll put a proposal together based on your requirements.

Do I need any prior qualifications to start PRINCE2?

No prior qualifications are needed for the Foundation course. Practitioner does require an existing qualifying certification, the most common of which is PRINCE2 Foundation.

Is the exam included in the course price?

Yes, always. Every PRINCE2 course we deliver includes the relevant exam fee and all official course materials.

How soon after the course can I sit the exam?

Exams are sat as part of the course itself, so there’s no waiting around once you’ve completed your training days.

Which industries is PRINCE2 most relevant to?

PRINCE2 is used across construction, IT, finance, healthcare, central and local government, and many other sectors. Its scalability means it works for projects of almost any size or type, which is a large part of why it’s remained the most widely used project management qualification in the world.

“Kathleen thanks very much for all your help, support and guidance this past week. Delivering training virtually is often hard to keep attention and deliver a message, but you managed to make it very engaging and informative.”

“I would like to thank Margaret Short (Course Tutor, Elite Training, Belfast) for her time, effort and commitment to getting my colleagues and me through the PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner course materials and exams. I have been involved in training and development for the last 20 years and believe these courses, in terms of structure, contents and delivery, are of a very high standard and I would encourage people that are involved in project management, regardless of the size, scale or scope, to take the course.”
