Minutes act as a public record of what was discussed and agreed at a meeting. The skill of minute-taking, from layout to discussion summaries, is therefore incredibly important. Our Minute Taking training course provides delegates with clear guidance on appropriate layout & writing styles to develop their skills as a minute-taker.

The key to success for minute taking is being confident in your ability to take accurate notes and draft a concise, reliable, professional set of minutes. Confidence is achieved through on-going practical skills development. Attendance on this course will help build your confidence and set you on the right path to acquiring the requisite minute taking skills.

During the course we will discuss the art of minute taking and provide you with tips and techniques you can use when preparing agendas, taking notes and drafting minutes. You may also be given the opportunity to complete a self-assessment questionnaire to baseline your current skills set and prepare a personal development plan for on-going improvement. You will also have an opportunity for skills practice. 

Our aim is that you leave the course with a better understanding of your role and a fuller understanding of how to draft a professional set of minute.
