Bangor in County Down sits right on Belfast Lough, a short hop along the coast road or a thirty-minute train ride from Belfast city centre. Choosing the Right PRINCE2 Course

PRINCE2 Foundation (3 days | £995 + VAT)

Our Foundation pass rate has held at 100% year to date, achieved by walking delegates through PRINCE2 principles across three full days, alongside the practices and processes that bring the method to life. No prior qualification is required to book on, and the exam itself is sat at the end of the course rather than scheduled separately. Certification lasts three years. You can renew by retaking the exam or progressing to Practitioner, and PeopleCert’s annual CPD scheme offers a third route if neither of those fits.

PRINCE2 Practitioner (2 days | £1,020 + VAT)

Practitioner takes the theory from Foundation and tests whether you can apply it to a live project scenario, which is reflected in a pass rate of between 85% and 90% against a national average of 77%. The two-day course assumes you already hold a qualifying certificate, most often PRINCE2 Foundation from 2009 onward, though PMP, CAPM and IPMA qualifications are accepted too. Like Foundation, the certificate holds for three years before it needs renewing.

PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner Combined (5 days | £1,995 + VAT)

Given how close Bangor is to Belfast, plenty of delegates simply commute in for the full five-day programme rather than treating it as two separate trips. Foundation runs first, Practitioner follows the week after, and one fee covers both exams along with all course materials. Splitting the two levels is still an option if your schedule needs it, ideally with no more than six months between them.

Commuting to Belfast Is Rarely the Issue

Unlike some of the towns we train delegates from, getting to Belfast from Bangor isn’t the obstacle it can be elsewhere. The train runs roughly every half hour and takes about thirty minutes into Lanyon Place, and the drive along the A2 is generally under half an hour outside peak times. Public courses run Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, so a same-day commute works comfortably for most Bangor delegates without needing to build in an overnight stay.

That said, a closed course delivered at your own premises still makes sense once you’ve several staff needing certification at the same time. No. This is Bangor, County Down, on the outskirts of Belfast in Northern Ireland. All our PRINCE2 courses for Bangor delegates are delivered from our Belfast base, or on-site at your premises in County Down.
